This urban beehive is more than using the wooden boxes, it is more modern, and it is a sleek version of the hive. The hive in a pod-like manner attached to the hole is cut to a pane of glass. When this affixed, the glass-covered pod inside the window allows the beekeeper to peer in the beehive while the entryway outside allows the bees to come and go.

This type of design gained so much popularity in the past years. It is built through the use of red cedar in the west, which is resistant to fungus and can repel the insects or invaders. Besides, it has a screen at the bottom board, has an inner cover, roofing, and a queen excluder. This type of design is made to minimize the disturbance of bees when harvesting honey. The flow key needs to be inserted that splits the honey cells then extracts the honey to direct it to the hive.
